Social Times 25

We are pleased to announce the first annual Social Times 25 at this year’s Social Ad Summit. The Social Times 25 will showcase campaigns/programs that creatively and effectively leverage social technologies and digital media to increase engagement or achieve other marketing objectives.

We are finalizing a panel of judges from within the industry to vote on each campaign/program.

CAMPAIGN/PROGRAM CRITERIA

1. How creative was the campaign or program? (Was there a “wow” factor?)
2. Was the idea well executed?
3. Is the campaign/program self-fueling?
4. Does the campaign/program encourage participation between members?
5. Was there a clear call to action?
6. Did the campaign/program produce great results that align with the marketer’s objectives?

PROGRAM SCHEDULE

Phase 1 - Through August 21
All submitted campaigns are compiled and the team of judges will determine which 25 campaigns should be shortlisted for the second round of voting. After the short list has been compiled, we will send out formal notifications to all participants.

Phase 2 - September 14 (Announcement)
Judges will review every campaign individually and rank them according to the six criteria outlined. On September 14th we will contact all of the participants to let them know how they fared.

Phase 3 - October 5
The top 5 campaigns will be asked to prepare a 5 - 10 minute presentation to be delivered at the 2009 Social Ad Summit in New York City. Our panel of judges will be present and will provide live feedback for each campaign and explain why each campaign received the score they did.

ELIGIBILITY

The Social Times 25 Competition is open to all organizations and individuals involved in designing, building, managing, maintaining, marketing or promotion of campaigns and programs on the social web. All entries must have leverage some form of social technology (Facebook Connect, the Facebook platform, Twitter, MySpace, Bebo, etc). Mobile campaigns are acceptable as well as they at have a social aspect to the experience.

DISQUALIFICATION
Ineligible entries may be disqualified at any phase of the competition without notification.

ACKNOWLEDGMENT OF ENTRIES
Entrants will receive an email acknowledgment when an entry has been received.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF ENTRY/USAGE

The Social Times 25 assumes all entries are original and the entrant either owns the work or has permission from a client or other appropriate party to enter the work, with all rights granted therein. In the event that an entrant without such rights submits an entry, the entrant will not be eligible for the competition. The Social Times is not liable for any copyright infringement on the part of the entrant.

Entries must be live and available on the Internet from the date of entry through October 2009, and accessible via http and standard Web browsers or the iPhone.

Submission of any entry acknowledges the right of The Social Times to use it for exhibition, promotion and publication purposes in any medium.

Timely submission of an entry meeting the eligibility requirements and payment of the entry fee as stated herein ensures that an entrant’s work will be reviewed and considered for recognition. No other representation or warranty is made by The Social Times concerning entries and all implied warranties are hereby expressly disclaimed.

If an entry receives an award, the manner and details of announcing such nomination and award is strictly within the discretion of The Social Times. Entrant understands that all awards may not be given or publicized in the same manner and some might be presented at the Social Ad Summit and others might not.

Registration costs $49 to cover the oversight of this program and to ensure that we don’t receive an excessive number of entries. The $49 can be used toward a discount on attending the Social Ad Summit. If you are one of the top five campaigns/programs you will be invited to present your campaign at this year’s Social Ad Summit. All entrants will also receive a copy of the final Social Times 25 guide ($199 value) which will be presented on the day of the Social Ad Summit.
